A dancer herself, Ms. Brown studied jazz and ballet in high school and college, West African dance forms, hip-hop, flamenco, and currently focuses on salsa. Her work with adolescents began as director of two Boston youth programs: Boston Area Health Education Center's Middle School Program and a teen crisis intervention hotline. In addition to her formal

Most recently, she was able to combine her love of dance and love of travel through a grant she received from Boston Plan For Excellence to research Afro-Cuban Folkloric Dance in Cuba.
