Lisa Nolan graduated from Brockton High School in 1996, earning a full scholarship to play volleyball at Northeastern University. There she was introduced to a strong Deaf community and ASL program. She holds both a BA in ASL/English Interpreting and a BS in Journalism. While obtaining these degrees, Lisa volunteered through an Americorps program called Athletes in Service which focuses on promoting diversity throughout the Boston Public Schools. Following this she worked in the Deaf community at Work Inc., then The Massachusetts Commission for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing and in 2005 joined BAA as an Educational Interpreter.
