Lise Simring, CT/EIPA
Educational Interpreter
Upon graduation from Emerson College in 1993 with her BFA in Children's Theatre, Ms. Simring worked for a Broadway Producer on numerous shows and tours, and later for Blue Man Group and its creators. After a radical career-shift, she graduated in 1999, with high honors from Northern Essex Community College's Sign Language Interpretation Program.
Ms. Simring has been at Boston Arts Academy since the fall of 2000, where she enjoys applying experience from both of her careers in a rewarding, creative, nurturing, academic and artistic community environment. In addition to her ongoing professional development work, she is a member of the Massachusetts Department of Education/Massachusetts Commission for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Statewide Task Force on K-12 Educational Interpreting. She also serves as the Advisory Board Chairperson for the National Council of Zeta Phi Eta, a national professional fraternity in communication arts and sciences.
